AUTHORS GUIDELINE
Editorial Note
The Journal, African Journal of Adult Education and Development Studies (AJEDS), aims to raise awareness of the necessity for adult education, and the potentiality of adult education for individual, community, national and international development, through the publication of peer review, quality and researched papers. The Journal will provide all those interested in development issues an outlet for harnessing rich ideas for development purposes.
This is a Journal that promises to be a platform for scholars and professionals from different related backgrounds for intellectual discourse, and a mouthpiece for articulating educational and development issues for government, NGOs and other development agencies. In doing so, it shall remain the flagship of academic excellence whilst maintaining quality assurance that meet international best practices in journal publication.
The Journal welcomes articles from across the academic spectrum, publishable twice annually – June and December. Paper for submission could be empirical or opinion based, focusing on the following themes:
1. General Education
2. Adult and Non-Formal Education
3. Community Development
4. Community Education
5. Environmental Education
6. Trends in Social, Economic and Political Development Areas
7. Conflict Management and Peace Building
8. Literacy Education
9. Distance Education/E-Learning
10. Other Related Contemporary Issues
Length of Paper:
Completed papers should not be less than 12 pages and not be more than 15 pages including references, diagrams, pictures and appendices. It should be prepared using 12 points, Times New Roman, double-line spacing on Microsoft Word 2003-2007.
Title Page:
There should be a separate title page bearing the paper title, author(s)’ name(s), institutional affiliations and not less than 5 keywords.
Copyright:
All submitted manuscripts would not have been published or being considered for publication elsewhere. It is the responsibility of the author(s) to ensure that no infringements whatever have been committed in preparing the submission.
Submission of Paper:
Two hard copies of papers should be submitted to the Managing Editors with a vetting fee of Five Thousand Naira (5,000.00) Only. Papers may also be submitted electronically.
Deadline for Submission:
All papers must be submitted on or before the end of March for June issue or September for December issue every year.
